Founding Family presale — limited spots

More dinners at home. Less spent. The family table is back.

Plento Pasto plans your week around what's already in your kitchen and the budget you set — then groceries arrive at the door. Five home-cooked dinners. Less than what takeout costs you. Made for the everyday family.

Free forever · Plus is $5/month with a savings guarantee · No ads, ever · Built for the agentic-AI household.

For the everyday family. Not the foodie.

Most apps in this category are built for people who don't think twice about a $13-a-meal kit. We're building for the rest of us — the working- and middle-class families squeezed harder every year, juggling two jobs and three pickup times, getting talked into expensive takeout because nobody had a plan and nobody had energy to make one.

Plento Pasto is the inversion of that bargain. You tell us your kitchen. You tell us your budget. We plan around both. Groceries arrive at the door. Five real dinners. Less than what you're already spending.

Plenty + meal. Plento. Pasto. Grazie mille.

Two things meal-kits can't do.

Meal-kits set the price; you adjust your life around it. They ship duplicate ingredients you already own. We flip both. The family declares the budget and the kitchen. Plento Pasto plans to it.

AI Kitchen Scan

Your phone scans the fridge. We plan around what's already there.

Open a cupboard. Snap a photo. We see the half-jar of pesto, the rice, the chicken stock you forgot about — and plan the week around it. Meal-kits ship you ingredients you already own. We don't.

Spend cap

You set the budget. We plan the week to it.

Tell us $60, $90, $150 — whatever this week calls for. Plento Pasto generates a real five-dinner menu that lands under that number, every time. Cheaper weeks, smaller bills. No surprise totals at checkout.

Family ratings

The whole table votes — and the menu listens.

One thumbs-up or thumbs-down per person per meal. Over time the plan learns who eats what, retires losers, resurfaces winners. Less arguing about dinner. More dinners they actually eat.

Built for the AI-household era

Your phone's assistant can plan the week directly.

Plento Pasto is built so household AI assistants — Apple Intelligence, Claude, Gemini — can call us directly to plan the family's week. The assistant plans, Plento Pasto chooses, Instacart delivers. You spend zero minutes on logistics and ate at home five nights this week.

The math is the point.

The average American family spends $3,000+ a year on takeout and fast food. Most of those meals were ordered because nobody had a plan. Plento Pasto's job is to put more of that money back in your pocket, more food on your table, and more time in your evening. Plenty without the price tag.

Plento Pasto plans. Instacart delivers. Your evenings are yours again.

How we make money. (And how we don't.)

Plento Pasto is built on a deliberate, plain-English business model. We think you should know exactly how it works before you sign up for anything.

Free forever

The free tier is a real product.

Weekly meal planning, AI Kitchen Scan, family ratings, spend cap, Instacart handoff — yours, free, no credit card. We earn a small affiliate fee from Instacart when you order groceries through us. That alone is enough to keep the lights on.

Plus — $5/month

Plus saves you more than it costs. Or the next month's free.

Plus adds the spend-tier intelligence — multi-store comparison, rotating sales, store-brand swaps, optimized cuts of meat — that on average saves the family more than $40/month on groceries. If Plus doesn't save you more than $5 in a given month, that next month is on us. Less than two takeout dinners, every month, with a guarantee.

No ads. Ever.

We will never run ads in Plento Pasto.

Working families get advertised at constantly — by DoorDash, by fast food chains, by payday lenders. We won't be one of them. No banners, no interstitials, no "sponsored recipes," no data sales to ad networks. This is a commitment, not a marketing claim.

Your data stays yours

What's in your fridge is your business.

The AI Kitchen Scan happens on your device. Your photos, your pantry, your shopping habits, your family's preferences — none of it gets sold, syndicated, or shared. Your data is the cost of using most apps. Not this one.

Founding Family pricing.

One-time presale to fund the build. Founding Families lock in lifetime Plus access at a fraction of the launch subscription — and shape the product before it ships. We are an everyday-family brand; the people who back us first should pay less, not more.

From early testers.

Real quotes from the friends-and-family group testing the prototype. Names changed at their request; full reviews available on request.

"Week three was where every other meal app fell apart for us. This one just kept getting better — and the budget cap actually held."

— Maya R., mom of two, Chicago (early tester)

"The pantry actually remembers. I told it once we had paprika and three weeks later it was still planning around it."

— Devon K., dad of three, Austin (early tester)

"My eight-year-old keeps asking when she can rate dinner. That's not a sentence I expected to say."

— Priya S., parent and tester, Brooklyn

Founding Family — questions we keep getting.

When do I actually get the app?

The web prototype is usable today (we'll send the link with your confirmation). The native iOS and Android apps are targeted for closed beta in early 2027, with the First 100 tier invited first. Public launch follows beta. We'll email a roadmap update at the start of every quarter.

How is this different from HelloFresh or Blue Apron?

Different customer, different math. HelloFresh and Blue Apron sell premium meal kits to households who can absorb $80–$140 a week for four dinners. We don't. Plento Pasto plans the week around your kitchen and your budget — the average week comes in well under what a comparable meal-kit week would cost, and uses the food you already own instead of duplicating it. We're built for the everyday family the kits price out.

What does my Founding Family payment go toward?

Building the v1 native app and the generative recipe + AI Kitchen Scan + spend-cap pipeline that the prototype gestures at. We're a husband-and-wife founding team (one CPA, one designer); presale revenue covers contractor work and infrastructure between now and beta. Audited financial summaries are available to Founding Families on request.

What if Plento Pasto doesn't ship?

Full refund, no questions, any time before beta opens. We'd rather give the money back than keep it on a product we can't deliver. Refund requests are handled within five business days.

What's the difference between $149 and $299?

The $149 tier is the lifetime presale — you get Plento Pasto forever, no subscription. The $299 First 100 tier adds priority beta access (first 100 households in), monthly 30-min office hours with the founders, voting rights on the v1 feature shortlist, two extra household seats, and a Founding Family credit on the launch site. Both are one-time payments.

Do you handle dietary restrictions and allergies?

Yes — first-class. Every generated recipe runs an allergen-safety validator before it lands on your plan. We also support cooking-skill matching and time-aware filtering so the plan respects what your week actually looks like, not the idealized version. If your family has specific needs (GLP-1 nutrition, kidney-friendly, halal, kosher, religious fasts, etc.), tell us in the welcome email and we'll prioritize.

Is there a subscription after I pay the presale?

No, not for Founding Families. The lifetime Plus tier is lifetime. The launch product will have a Plus subscription at $5/month — less than two takeout dinners — but presale buyers are exempt. The free tier of Plento Pasto is also free forever, for everyone, with no marketing-driven downgrade later.

What is the savings guarantee, exactly?

Plus members see a "Your Plento Pasto savings this month" surface in the app that compares your current grocery spend to a calibrated baseline (your pre-Plento spend, captured at onboarding). On average, Plus saves a household more than $40/month on groceries. If in any given month your Plus tier didn't save you more than $5, the next month is on us — automatically, no email request needed. If it stops being worth it, you stop paying. That's the deal.

Will you ever run ads in the app?

No. This is a commitment, not a marketing claim. Working families are already advertised at constantly by takeout services, fast food chains, BNPL companies, and predatory lenders. We don't think the meal-planning app for the everyday family should be one more place that happens. Plento Pasto will not be ad-supported, will not sell user data, and will not run "sponsored recipes" disguised as content. If we ever change this, we'd refund every Plus member who joined under this commitment.

What does "Plento Pasto" mean?

Plento evokes plenty and abundance — the answer to "we can't afford that." Pasto is Italian for "a meal." Together: plenty + meal. Pronounced plen-toh PAH-stoh.

Where's the company based?

Illinois, US. We're forming the LLC right now. Founding Family receipts will reflect the LLC entity name once it's filed.

Not ready to commit? Get on the list.

We'll email you once a month with build progress, design previews, and a heads-up before beta opens. No marketing fluff. Grazie mille.
