Terms of Service
This is the agreement between you and Plento Pasto LLC ("Plento Pasto," "we," "us," "our") when you visit this website, join our waitlist, or reserve a Founding Family spot. We've kept it short and written it in plain English. By using the site or buying a Founding Family lifetime pass, you agree to these terms.
1. What you're getting today
Plento Pasto is in active development. The native iOS and Android apps are targeted for closed beta in early 2027, with public launch to follow. Right now, we offer:
- This website at plentopasto.com — informational, free to visit.
- A live web prototype at plentopastodemo.netlify.app — also free, no account required, intended to demonstrate where the product is headed.
- The Founding Family presale — a one-time $99 USD payment that reserves lifetime Plus access for one household and helps fund the build (see Section 3).
- Build-update emails — if you join the waitlist, we'll send progress updates roughly monthly.
2. The web prototype is a prototype
The web demo is meant to give you a feel for the product direction. It is not the production app. Plans, recipes, costs, and ingredient suggestions in the demo may be inaccurate or incomplete. Please do not rely on the demo for actual meal planning or grocery shopping. The shipping product will be different (better, we hope).
3. Founding Family — the deal
The Founding Family presale is a one-time $99 USD payment that gets you:
- Lifetime Plus access for one household when the app launches — no monthly fee, ever.
- Beta access in early 2027, ahead of public launch.
- The savings guarantee, included for life (defined in the FAQ on the home page).
- A vote on the v1 feature shortlist.
- Recognition on the launch site (only if you opt in).
- Access to the Founding Family Discord — a direct line to us.
3a. Refund policy
Founding Family payments are fully refundable any time before beta access opens (early 2027).
If you change your mind, email hello@plentopasto.com from the address on the receipt. Refunds are processed within five business days back to the original payment method, no questions asked.
Once you've used your beta access (logged into the app), the lifetime Plus benefit becomes non-refundable — at that point we've delivered the thing you bought. If we never ship the app, you get a full refund regardless of the timing. We'd rather give the money back than keep it on a product we couldn't deliver.
3b. What "lifetime" means
"Lifetime" means for as long as Plento Pasto exists as a service. We are committed to building Plento Pasto for the long haul. If the company is ever sold, wound down, or otherwise transferred, we will give Founding Family members at least 90 days' notice and either (a) honor the lifetime benefit through any successor, or (b) issue a pro-rated refund. We will not pull the rug.
3c. One household, one pass
Each Founding Family pass covers one household — meaning one set of family members who share a kitchen and a household budget. We don't impose a hard person count, but the pass is not transferable to commercial users (restaurants, meal prep services, content creators producing meal-plan content for resale). If you're not sure whether your use case fits, email us and we'll work it out.
3d. Pricing locks at v1 launch
The $99 Founding Family price is available only during presale. Once v1 ships publicly, Plus moves to its regular price (currently planned at $5/month with the savings guarantee), and presale closes. We don't run "early bird" or "second wave" Founding Family rounds — first one is the only one.
4. Acceptable use
When using the site, the demo, or the eventual app, please don't:
- Try to break, scrape, or reverse-engineer our infrastructure.
- Resell access, share login credentials, or use Founding Family passes commercially.
- Submit content (in the demo or eventual app) that's illegal, harassing, or infringes someone else's rights.
- Use the service to discriminate, harm, or defraud others.
If you do, we may suspend or terminate your access. If you've paid for a Founding Family pass and we terminate for cause, we don't owe a refund — but we'll explain why before doing it.
5. Your content, our content
Anything you submit to Plento Pasto (your fridge photos, household preferences, dietary notes, ratings) belongs to you. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content solely to provide the service to you. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models, and we do not sell or syndicate it. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.
The Plento Pasto name, logo, brand voice, copy, and design are owned by Plento Pasto LLC. The recipes generated and curated by Plento Pasto in the eventual app are also our intellectual property; you're free to use them in your own home, share photos of dishes you make, and tell friends about us — you just can't republish the recipes themselves at scale or use them in a competing product.
6. The honest disclaimers
Plento Pasto is a meal-planning tool, not a medical, nutritional, or dietary professional service. The plans we generate are informational and should not replace advice from a doctor, dietitian, or allergist — particularly if you have allergies, chronic illness, are pregnant, or are managing a medical condition like diabetes or high blood pressure. Always read ingredient labels and consult a qualified professional for personalized dietary advice.
Cost estimates and savings projections are modeled estimates based on representative grocery prices in the US. Actual costs vary by store, region, and time. We do our best to be accurate, but we don't guarantee any specific dollar amount unless explicitly covered by the savings guarantee.
The site, the demo, and (when launched) the app are provided "as is." We don't promise they'll always be available, bug-free, or fit any particular purpose other than what we describe. To the maximum extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us (which for free-tier users is zero).
7. Changes to these terms
If we materially change these terms — for example, when the app launches and we add app-specific provisions — we'll update the "last updated" date at the top and email everyone on our list with a plain-English summary. We won't make material changes retroactively to active Founding Family passes without your consent.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute we can't resolve over email goes to the state or federal courts located in DuPage County, Illinois. If you're a consumer in another jurisdiction, your local consumer-protection laws may give you additional rights — those rights apply, and we won't try to waive them.
